The Eisbaer LT Aurora CPU AIO water cooler offers extremely good cooling performance due to the high-end components, which includes a full copper radiator. The components used are all from Alphacool’s classic custom water cooling sector and can also be found in its enterprise products for servers. The Eisbaer LT Aurora can be expanded with additional components thanks to the quick-release fastener. At its heart, the DC-LT 2 pump The exceedingly small and compact DC-LT 2 pump has been further optimized compared to its predecessor. The impeller sits suspended on a ceramic axle and is supported by two magnets. A 3-phase sinusoidal drive ensures a much smoother running of the pump, which significantly contributes to minimizing noise. The pump offers enough power to add another component, such as a GPU water cooler or another radiator, to the loop. Ideally, it is coupled with an Eiswolf 2 GPU AIO water cooler. This also uses a DC-LT 2 pump. DIY fittings and ES tubing The tubing and fittings come from the standard custom cooling segment and all use a standard G1/4" thread. Therefore, it is extremely easy to replace them. The black TPV hose comes, like the connectors, from the Alphacool ES series which is primarily installed in servers and workstations. The hose does not contain any plasticizers and, unlike classic PVC hoses, does not deform at high temperatures. The quick connector is not made of heavy brass, but of extremely light, durable and, robust nylon. The quick connector is compatible with many other models from the Alphacool product line. Cooler As with all Alphacool products, the cooler base is made of nickel-plated copper and is equipped with exceptionally fine cooling fins that are distributed over almost the entire base. A flow plate provides an accelerated flow over the cooling fins which increases the cooling performance. The water flow is optimized so that all areas of the cooler base are cooled evenly. Full Digital RGB Mounting The pump unit and fans are fully equipped with Digital RGB LEDs, also known as Addressable RGB or aRGB. What makes it easier on the one hand - imagine just how much more often the room would have to be cleaned if all the dirt was not collected as a precaution by the computer - means elsewhere consuming cleaning of the PC interior. In addition, dust in the housing is the main reason for overheating and thus for possible, unstable operation. Although a cleaning time-to-time can not be prevented, however, the effort can be significantly reduced. A simple and cost-effective solution are dust filters, which are placed in front of the sucking fans. Once installed, it is no longer necessary to dedust the entire interior with all its inaccessible corners and sensitive components, only the filters. DEMCiflex offers a particularly easy-to-retrofit solution, which in this case is suitable for 120 mm fans. Here, the filter is simply placed from the outside of the housing on the fan opening and is held there magnetically. There are therefore no screws or the like necessary, so there is no compatibility restriction. Since not all fan positions are magnetically attractive, an additional frame to the scope of delivery is glued to the back and on which the filter is held. The filter itself consists of a very tightly woven and durable polyester fabric. This special material is also used in clinics, for example to keep operating theaters dust-free. At the same time, the net is well permeable to air and therefore hinders the airflow only slightly. Of course, this effect diminishes with increasing dust, which is why the filter should occasionally be removed and cleaned. Due to the special mounting method, the removal of the fan is again very easy and fast. Afterwards, the dust can either be brushed, shaken, washed off and even scraped off with stubborn dirt. Finally, a few notes on the installation: First, the question arises, which fans have to be covered at all. As already mentioned, this applies exclusively to the sucking fans. But which are they? The safest way to recognize this is on the fan itself, with two arrows on the outside or inside of the fan frame. If one of the two arrows points towards the interior or if the rotor suspension is aligned with the interior, this is an aspirating fan. These are usually located on the front, side and bottom, whereas the rear and cover fans usually carry the air out of the housing and therefore need not be filtered. In order to maximize the filter effect, an overpressure in the housing can be generated. This means that more volume of air is forced into the housing than is being sucked out of the housing by other fans at the same time. This prevents air (and with it the dust) from entering the interior through other openings that may not have been filtered. If all fans are the same size, you should blow more fans into the housing than pull out. In this case, the power supply is to be counted as an additional, extracting fan, as long as it does not receive its supply (fan side) directly from the outside (occurs at floor mounting). If different fans with different sizes and speeds are used, the respective air volumes (m³ / h) in the data sheets give a good reference value, whereby in turn the total volume of the suction fans must be higher than that of the blowing out fans. Note: The area around the used fan slot should be flat if possible and have no protruding parts. Otherwise, these may impair adhesion to the substrate.
