Sealife Ultra-Wide Angle Dome Lens (SL052) - Micro Series, RM-4K The ultra-wide angle lens with dome port for the ReefMaster 4K and the Micro Series from SeaLife. This lens expands the camera's field of view by almost 50% and allows you to get three times closer to the subject. The ultra-wide angle lens is made of high-quality optical glass components that are arranged in 4 groups and thus enable a razor-sharp image across the entire lens width. All optical elements are multi-coated to prevent internal glare and maximize light transmission. When used with the Micro 3.0, the lens has an effective focal length of 13.3 mm, and is waterproof up to 60 m. The lens is compatible with all cameras of the SeaLife Micro Series (Micro HD, HD+, Micro 2.0, Micro 3.0). In addition, it can be used with the ReefMaster RM-4K, which increases the viewing angle of the small camera to a strong 196°. The new ultra-wide angle dome lens is a "wet lens" that can be easily attached and removed underwater. A locking ring prevents the lens from being lost due to shocks or rough conditions. A lanyard included in the delivery prevents the lens from being lost underwater. When not in use. The inner airspace is filled with nitrogen to prevent fogging under extreme temperature conditions. Getting closer has the effect of magnifying your subject (making it appear larger in the viewfinder and in your pictures). They are exceptionally useful for macro photography, enabling you to convert almost any lens into a macro lens at a fraction of the cost while maintaining its original optical quality. Please note: When using extension tubes the lens will not focus to infinity. The focus range will be greatly limited to a very close focusing distance. There is light fall off when using any extension tube, sometimes the e quivalent of 3 f-stops of light is lost when using multiple extension tubes together. This light lost can affect the camera's ability to auto focus. Manual focusing is recommended should the lens won't lock onto the subject. Depending on available light and due to a very shallow depth of field manual focusing may be required if the lens AF will not lock focus.
