The Alphacool ES Solution Laing DDC310 pump serves as the foundation for various 1 to 4U server solutions from Alphacool. The unit is based around the very popular Alphacool DDC pump and has been coupled with a simple pump base to maintain compatibility with various Enterprise Solution reservoirs. Compact and powerful. The flat design of the Laing DDC310 pump saves space and fits with the corresponding Enterprise reservoirs from chassis as small as a 1U server rack. This results in a very powerful pump that can be used in the smallest of spaces. The DDC310 variant offers with a delivery height of 2.44m enough power to operate an extensive water loop. The performance is enough to operate a dual or quad socket system including reservoir and radiators. The performance of the pump is also sufficient to operate a render server with up to 4 graphics cards. Spherical Ceramic Bearing The pump uses a shaftless ball motor or spherical bearing. The motor is driven by magnets while the rotor is mounted on a ball-ceramic bearing. This makes the pump maintenance-free, as the bearing is self-adjusting and maintenance-free. The pump is lubricated by the coolant during operation. This makes the Alphacool ES Solution Laing DDC310 pump a so-called wet rotor pump. Due to its design, even small particles of dirt are no problem for the pump. Installation and Commissioning The pump is delivered with a classic plastic bottom which ensures a high compatibility to all Enterprise Solution products. However, the pump can also be mounted on all existing DDC pump tops from Alphacool. The pump comes with a corresponding O-ring, only the mounting screws must be used from the respective reservoir, as these may differ in length. The power is supplied via a 4-pin Molex connector, the speed can be read out via a 3-pin Molex connector. This is usually done via the 3-pin fan connector on the mainboard or via an appropriate fan controller. The Alphacool ES fans have been specially developed for use in servers and workstations and, unlike usual, do not offer a 2 or 3-pin DC power connection, but a 4-pin PWM control.PWM controlInstead of the usual 2 cables or the 3-pin connector Alphacool now also uses a 4-pin PWM connector for enterprise fans, which is supported by more and more server mainboards. Via the 4-pin PWM connector, the fan always receives full voltage and is controlled by pulse width modulation. This allows the fan to be controlled over a much wider speed range. A considerable amount of energy can be saved whilst controlling the fans in server racks and with 0% PWM control, the fans can even be stopped completely. The fan also offers a soft start, which increases the service life of the fan and reduces the risk of injury. At speeds of several thousand revolutions per minute, no parts of the body should get between the fan blades.Double ball bearingsUnlike classic plain bearing, Alphacool ES fans have a double ball bearing for increased service life under full load. Double ball bearings are generally regarded as the highest quality bearings in terms of durability and quality. This also ensures a high level of running smoothness in terms of minimal vibration.Protection circuitsAll Alphacool Enterprise fans have multiple protection circuits. If the fans are blocked, they automatically try to restart at reduced speed after a few seconds. Thanks to the soft start, including the emergency start function, the fan can be blocked for up to 72 hours without suffering damage. In case of wrong polarity when connecting the fan, a burn-out of the electronics for at least 5 seconds is impossible. Deburring made easyEveryone who works with HardTubes knows that they must deburr all ends of the tubes. The classic deburrer from Alphacool offers the ability to deburr HardTubes inside and outside. The external deburring is extremely important so that the HardTubes fit perfectly and do not damage any O-rings. The inner deburring is only used to remove cutting residue. For clean deburring, the deburrer has three steel blades with sharpened edges. The deburrer fits perfectly in the hand due to its large round shape. Cutting PETG tubesThe Eistools Modding Cutter works like scissors and is ideal for cutting PETG HardTube . Please note that acrylic HardTube cannot be cut with this tool as they would shatter when cut. Of course, you can also use it to cut cables and other soft components. If you want to cut angles, the integrated protractor can be used. Bending tool and silicone insertsA silicone insert is absolutely necessary for bending HardTubes. The Silicone Insert prevents the tube from collapsing at the bends. To help the insert glide better, use a waterbased lubricant or similar. Oil based Lubricant and too much soap should be avoided and never use alcohol as this can damage plastics such as PETG . With the small but practical bending tool you can easily bend simple angles. The tube is pushed into the bending tool, heated with a heat gun and can then be bent very easily. The previous method that has been most commonly used for water cooling systems is normal PVC hoses - now Alphacool introduces a new approach to water cooling. The Alphacool HardTube additionally brings more tidiness into the system which enables a further structured impression.
