The Alphacool Eisbaer Pro Aurora CPU AIO water cooler is a special development for processors with particularly large CPU dies. These include the AMD Threadripper and Epyc processors and the Intel CPUs for the LGA 3647 socket. With the optional XPX Pro AM4 mounting bracket, the Alphacool Eisbaer Pro CPU cooler can also be used on AMD Ryzen processors. Large cooling surface The cold plate bottom covers the entire surface of the respective processors. The area of the cooling fins exceeds all known processor cores with an area of around 55 x 42 mm. This ensures that all hotspots of a CPU are directly covered and thus optimally cooled. With the included AM4 bracket, cooling an AMD Ryzen processor is also child's play. The cooling fins are 0.4 mm thick and also have an optimal distance of 0.4 mm between them. In total there are 58 cooling fins on the bottom of the cooler. The bottom of the cooler is only 3 mm thick, which allows the heat to reach the water and be dissipated as quickly as possible. Copper radiator As per usual with Alphacool, the radiators are made of copper. Alphacool is the first manufacturer worldwide to use copper for all water bearing components such as the antechambers, the cooling fins and the cooling channels to which the fins are soldered. The connection threads are made of brass for strength reasons. In addition, the cooling fins are only lightly painted. On closer inspection the copper shimmers through a little. A thick lacquer coating would result in a reduction of the cooling capacity. The fin density is at optimal 15FPI. Therefore the radiator works perfectly even at low airflow. A too high fin density would require fans with higher speed to achieve the same cooling capacity. A lower fin density would no longer benefit from fast rotating fans. So the golden mean was chosen. Real water cooling The Eisbaer Pro Aurora consists almost entirely of actual water cooling components. The extremely robust and durable TPV hoses are used in the enterprise products for servers and workstations. The hose connections also come from the Enterprise series from Alphacool and use the standard G1/4". This makes the Eisbaer Pro Aurora fully compatible with all common water cooling products. The quick-release fastener allows easy expansion of the AIO with additional components. The most important of these are the prefilled radiators and the Eiswolf GPU AIO water cooling system. Fan and lighting The entire Eisbaer Aurora Pro cooler is equipped with addressable digital RGB LEDs. This gives a real eye-catcher in the Case. The fan used is the Aurora Rise with 120mm. Due to the special blade design, the fan is extremely quiet and the addressable RGB LEDs provide brilliant illumination. The Alphacool Aurora Rise fan convinces with a max. statistical pressure of 3.17mm/H2O and offers a max. air flow of 119.8m3/h. The PWM control allows the fan to be controlled over a wide speed range. In addition, it offers a zero control. It can therefore be regulated down to 0 rpm and then starts with approx. 350 rpm. Of course all Digital RGB LEDs can be controlled at will. Depending on the controller almost all effects are possible. How to connect everything The fans are normally controlled via a 4-pin PWM connector. An included Y-adapter for the fans makes it easy to connect them to the mainboard. This allows all fans to be controlled and regulated via one connector. Each fan has a 3-pin JST connector including Y-adapter for the LED illumination. This allows the fans to be connected directly together and can also be controlled simultaneously via a controller. For the connection to a typical 3-pin 5V connector a corresponding adapter is included. Alternatively, the included Digital RGB controller can be used. The pump of the Eisbaer Aurora uses a 3-pin Molex connector. This can also be connected to the mainboard. The Eisbaer Pro Aurora is a true multi-talent. The cooling engine is the evolution of the 2nd generation EK® Quantum Vector GPU water blocks. This water block enclosure is only compatible with GeForce® RTX™ 3090 Founders Edition graphics cards. Special Edition EK Water Block for Nvidia FE GeForce RTX 3090 The EK-Quantum Vector FE RTX 3090 D-RGB water block enclosure is the most complex GPU cooling solution developed by EK to date. Aside from the small form factor and unique shape of the RTX 3090 Founders Edition PCB, EK has built a hybrid cooling solution for the backplate that is so far unique to the EK-Quantum Vector FE RTX 3090 water blocks and their backplates. The water block is purpose-designed with an extremely thick copper base for high-performance, allowing it to clear all components of the densely-packed PCB and adding more heat capacity in the process. The cooling engine used in this water block is the largest we've built to date, having roughly 30% more surface area than the rest of the Vector water blocks. Build Quality Like the Magnitude CPU water block, the entirety of this water block is CNC-machined without mass-production techniques. The block's base is milled out of a 12 mm thick piece of pure electrolytic copper sourced from Europe, which is then nickel-plated, while its top is CNC-machined out of a glass-like cast Acrylic material. The external enclosure, which is not in any contact with the coolant, is machined out of a 20 mm thick solid piece of aluminum, which is afterward anodized into a black color. The included single-slot I/O shield is supplied with special screws for attaching it to the aluminum enclosure in order to even out the entire water block's weight distribution. The watertight sealing is ensured by high-quality EPDM O-rings, while brass standoffs are already pre-installed and allow for a safe and easy installation procedure. Cooling Engine This Special Edition Vector water block directly cools the GPU, VRAM, and the VRM (voltage regulation module) as cooling liquid is channeled right over these critical areas. The water block is in contact with MOSFETs and chokes to maximize cooling and minimize the chances of unwanted coil whine. The flow paths are optimized to reduce hydrodynamic instabilities and vortexing (dead spots) inside of them. The integrated Open Split-Flow cooling engine design proved to be a superior solution for GPU water blocks. It is characterized by low hydraulic flow restriction, meaning it can be used with weaker water pumps or pumps running on low-speed settings and still achieve top performance. The jet plate and fin structure geometry are optimized to provide even flow distribution with minimal losses and optimal performance when used in any given coolant flow orientation. Fin array is populated by 31 microfins with 0.6 mm wide microchannels that provide exceptional cooling performance without unnecessary flow restrictions or clogging hazards. Hybrid Backplate This water block comes with an included backplate that makes sure the entire graphics card is enclosed and not at all visible. The aluminum CNC-machined backplate has a ribbed texture in order to increase surface area for additional passive cooling power. The "active" cooling part is achieved through a section of the backplate contacting the coldplate, which is then directly cooled by the liquid. The Black variant of this Special Edition water block has a natural anodized aluminum backplate. Special Terminal Design The water block is delivered with a set of connection terminals, allowing users to swap them out based on their needs. One terminal has two direct G1/4" ports on the side, while the other one is more conventional, having four G1/4" ports going through the terminal. The new design allows terminals to be directly attached to the copper cold plate of the GPU water block, making it more rigid and reducing the chances of damage. The terminal is neatly located between two prongs on the PCB, utilizing minimal space. This kind of design allows for incredible versatility, especially for Small Form Factor builds, and of course, more interesting aesthetics. D-RGB Lighting on the EK-Quantum Vector FE RTX 3090 D-RGB Water Block This water block boasts a whopping 23 individually addressable D-RGB LEDs that illuminate both the water block's interior and the terminal itself. A-RGB for Full Colour Control The 12 A-RGB LEDs installed in the BioniX P120 A-RGB are autonomously controllable. The BioniX P120 A-RGB is compatible with the common A-RGB standards of leading motherboard manufacturers for the simplest possible use. It can therefore be fully illuminated directly via the A-RGB motherboard connection or via an external controller and synchronized with other hardware lighting. Easy installation and extension via Connector Technology The ARCTIC BioniX P120 A-RGB have a modular cable management and use two connections: a power-in and a connector output. ARCTIC uses an 8-pin connector for this, which forwards both the fan and lighting signals and considerably simplifies the cabling *. The included connector block also enables a wireless series connection. * all necessary cables are included High-quality plain bearing Thanks to an alloy/lubricant combination developed in Germany, friction within the bearing is reduced, increasing efficiency. In this way, less heat is generated, there is less bearing noise and the service life of the fan is extended. Optimised for static pressure With the BioniX P120 A-RGB, as with the entire P-series, special emphasis was placed on a focused airflow and high static pressure. The fan guarantees extremely efficient cooling, even with increased air resistance. This makes the BioniX P120 A-RGB particularly suitable for use on heat sinks and radiators as well as with aperture plates and filters. Maximum smoothness, minimum vibration The operating noise of the newly developed ARCTIC motor is barely noticeable even at the lowest speed. Thanks to sinus magnetization, the P fan's motor generates only 5% of the commutation vibrations of a conventional DC motor. In addition, the ARCTIC BioniX P120 A-RGB has rubber pads on its contact surfaces for further decoupling. 400 to 2300 rpm regulated via PWM With a wide speed range and the connector functionality, the fan speed of the BioniX P120 A-RGB can be controlled synchronously with other fans. This reduces the noise development to a minimum while at the same time guaranteeing maximum cooling performance. OPTIMISED FOR STATIC PRESSURE During the development of the new P8 PWM PST, special emphasis was placed on a focused airstream and thus a high static pressure. The fan guarantees extremely efficient cooling, even with increased air resistance. Therefore, the P8 PWM PST is particularly suitable for use on heatsinks and radiators. MORE EFFICIENT TECHNOLOGY The motor is powered by a Neodym-Iron-Boron-Magnet ring of the newest generation, which allows the new P8 PWM PST to run much more efficiently than its predecessors. This saves energy and lowers the coil temperature without comprimising the performance. MAXIMUM QUIETNESS, MINIMUM VIBRATION Even at low speeds the operating sound of the new ARCTIC motor is barely noticeable. Due to a sinus-magnetizing the new motor only creates about 5 % of the vibration from commutation of a regular DC-motor without filter. Consequently, there is no need for rubber spacers due to the steady and smooth torque of the new motor. EXTENDED LIFE SPAN A 10 °C lower motor temperature roughly doubles the life span of a fan. The new ARCTIC motor has a four times longer service life through its low coil temperature. Therefore Arctic extends the warranty to 10 years. 200 TO 3000 RPM REGULATED VIA PWM PST Thanks to the 4-pin connector, the RPM can be regulated in a broad spectrum via PWM. In this way, noise is kept at a minimum while maximum cooling performance is guaranteed when needed. HIGH QUALITY BEARING Thanks to an alloy/lubricant combination developed in Germany, friction within the bearing is reduced and greater efficiency is achieved. As a result, there is less heat development as well as less bearing noise, which means you can enjoy a longer service life from your fan.
